The ACFE New Jersey 9, Inc. membership is open to individuals of all job functions, industries, and levels of experience interested in the prevention, detection, and deterrence of fraud.  Our mission is to support you by providing access to the knowledge, resources, and training you need to do your job now and at every stage of your career.

Being a member of the National ACFE does not automatically make you a member of the ACFE New Jersey Chapter. The New Jersey chapter is a separate membership. Please understand that our Chapter does not receive funds from the National ACFE office, and we must separately collect funds for our own activities and support our individual organizational budget.

All memberships are subject to review.  If you apply to join a membership level to which you do not qualify, your application may be approved, and any adjustment in membership fees due will be added to your account.  The ACFE New Jersey 9, Inc. Board of Directors, at their discretion, may revise the yearly annual membership during a given calendar year and will notify the membership of any changes to the membership costs in a timely manner.      

Membership may be suspended or revoked by the board at any time with cause.  Examples of cause includes but are not limited to aging account balances or improper or unethical behavior, etc.

CFE Chapter Member

A member is required to be a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners who is in good standing. A member is eligible to vote and hold office in the Chapter. Webinars are included with your membership to include, at a minimum, up to 6 CPE Credits, including 2 Ethics CPEs. Members are responsible for renewing their annual membership for the following year at their ACFE NJ membership anniversary date. Membership is for 12 months.  

Associate Chapter Member

An Associate Member is required to be an associate of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners who is in good standing. An Associate is eligible to vote and hold office in the Chapter other than President. Webinars are included with your membership to include, at a minimum, up to 6 CPE Credits, including 2 Ethics CPEs. Members are responsible for renewing their annual membership for the following year at their ACFE NJ membership anniversary date. Membership is for 12 months.   

Affiliate Chapter Member

An Affiliate is not required to be a member of the National Association. An Affiliate is not eligible to hold office, vote, participate on Chapter Committees or present themselves as a member of the Association. Webinars are included with your membership to include, at a minimum, up to 6 CPE Credits, including 2 Ethics CPEs. Members are responsible for renewing their annual membership for the following year at their ACFE NJ membership anniversary date. Membership is for 12 months.  

Student Chapter Member

Student Chapter Affiliate is open to undergraduate students enrolled in at least nine semester hours (or equivalent*), or graduate students enrolled in at least six semester hours (or equivalent*) in an accredited college or university.  Student Chapter Affiliate Members shall not be, nor represent themselves to be, members of the Chapter shall have no Chapter voting rights. They shall not be eligible to hold any Chapter office. Webinars are included with your membership to include, at a minimum, up to 6 CPE Credits, including 2 Ethics CPEs. Members are responsible for renewing their annual membership for the following year at their ACFE NJ membership anniversary date. Membership is for 12 months.  

Law Enforcement & Governance Alliance Membership

$50

The ACFE Law Enforcement and Government Alliance (LEGA) is a program for government entities at the local, state, and national levels that provides anti-fraud training and resources to assist and guide you in your efforts to prevent, deter, and reduce fraud. Participation in LEGA is also open to leading international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). It gives you the edge you need to stay up to date in an ever-evolving landscape. Webinars are included with your membership to include, at a minimum, up to 6 CPE Credits, including 2 Ethics CPEs. Members are responsible for renewing their annual membership for the following year at their ACFE NJ membership anniversary date. Membership is for 12 months.

The New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
